A strong contact management system that unifies, validates and enriches contact information derived from multiple systems into a single trusted source.
DEFINING THE ISSUE
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Since salespeople are frequently on the move and have scheduled outings, maintaining data from their computers is a laborious effort because it takes a long time to find the information they need.
They are dependent on other apps because the app currently lacks a route planning capability, making it difficult and time-consuming to reach customers.
Due to bad or no internet on the site sales representatives bring printouts of specific locations for quick information access.

TALKING TO USERS
RESEARCH
The research agenda is to understand users' needs, pain-points and to empathise with them to bring a convenient solution to them. For this project, the research types I’ve gone for are Quantitative and Qualitative Research.
So in Qualitative Research, I asked the below-listed set of questions to clients to understand their thoughts on the same.
Quantitative Research
Qualitative Research
-
What your normal day looks like?
-
Walk us thorough a day when you are on field trips?
-
What technologies do you generally use?
-
How’s your experience with our application been so far? What things would you say needs improvement?
-
What problems do you face with our application today?
-
What other CRM, ERP apps you use today and how do they help you?
-
What are the most important features, workflows of our app you think you require when you’re out on field trips?
-
What are your thoughts on a mobile version of the desktop application? Do you think that would help you in any way?

USER SCENARIO
Scenario 1: Daily activity
Floyd Mathis is a 51-year-old Sales representative and an early-to-rise person, he does a few of the following things in the morning following up with the last day's work, checking emails, and messages and responding to important ones, checking on deals, and new opportunities. Then drives to his office and reaches around 8, gets to the desk to start with the work, and attends meetings with the bosses or colleagues. On some days he works from the office, other days require him to go to the customer's locations to demonstrate the required equipment, or part or to close a deal, they struggle a little with not having easy access to the customer/account information with them, that they can prepare while they're driving to a location.
Then usually around 1 pm has lunch, a meeting with team members, and reports to the boss, then ends his day by sending emails to customers, gathering data, making phone calls, pitching the idea to the boss, and giving presentations.

Scenario 2: Travelling to a Customer's Location
John Mason is a 48-year-old Sales representative and early-to-rise person, he does a few of the following things in the morning like following up with the last day's work, checking emails, and messages and responding to important once. As part of his work, he normally has several calls with his customers.
Now it gets a little complicated for him at times to get quick information on the account or location or the person he's talking to, especially if he is travelling (to a location) or if he ain't at his desk & doesn't have the laptop with him. So he struggles to give the proper response to their customer's query which can lead to losing the deal, or the customer not having a good experience.
